Large and shimmering this Heart shaped Mother of Pearl Shell is framed with Sterling Silver and has an inside etch of a Heart also. Set on top is a Sterling Silver applique of a Trillium Flower with widespread tendrils.
Trillium is a perennial flowering plant native to temperate regions of North America and Asia.
Here on the west coast of Vancouver Island Trillium’s are found in the forest popping up early April and will last for at least 4 months, turning from a white to deep purple as they as they wither away.
I am fortunate to have them growing in my native garden. They are a thrill to see when their season starts.
Mother of Pearl is a smooth shining iridescent substance forming the inner layer of the shell of some mollusks, especially oysters and abalones.
It has a whitish/ ivory color and when you move it, you see rippled textures along with shimmers of pastel greens and pinks throughout.
The bale is large so would fit any size chain or cord.
